Today’s “Ask Ellen” comes from Gloria in New Smyrna Beach. Gloria asks:

❓Ellen help! I hosted my local chapter’s annual cutest chihuahua contest in my home. My ceramic tile and grout is a nightmare in one area where I have a fake palm tree after the chihuahuas seemed to think it was a real tree ( if you know what I mean). What can I do to remove the urine stains and stinky smells until my next annual tile/grout cleaning? Peeved, Gloria ✔️

Dear Gloria-

Oh what a party! Good news is – there’s hope! Vinegar is one of those wonders of the world in my mind! It is a mild acid that works great at removing urine and urine odors. Get a spray bottle and fill it half with water and half with white vinegar. Spray the area generously and let it sit for at least 5 minutes. Then make up a paste mixture of baking soda and water. Apply this mixture to the areas that you sprayed with vinegar. Once the foaming has stopped, use your elbow grease and scrub with a brush. Rinse and repeat if necessary.

And for next time – I guess the tree has to go, so the chihuahuas don’t “go”! ?
